John Haymes Newton joins “Melrose Place” as Ryan McBride, the younger brother of Kyle McBride who arrives in Los Angeles during the show’s seventh and final season. A successful businessman with a complicated personal history, Ryan becomes involved with the residents of Melrose Place while attempting to establish a new life for himself. His arrival expands Kyle’s family story and introduces a new romantic lead during the series’ final year.
Before joining “Melrose Place,” Newton builds a television career through a number of prominent roles. He stars as Clark Kent in the first season of “Superboy,” portraying the future Superman as a college student learning to balance an ordinary life with his emerging responsibilities as a superhero.
